THE GARBAGE WORLD
2013, Guimarães, Portugal

The map of the world is made of discarded plastic water bottles, which were collected and processed during a stay at the CAAA (Centro para os Assuntos da Arte e Arquitectura).
The plastic water bottles were pressed manually, sewn, tailored and ultimately hand-sewn onto a transparent plastic foil. The continents are made of black plastic foil; the focus is on the oceans made of plastic water bottles.
